Application for New Club Membership


Application for club membership is a FIVE STEP process.


IF YOU HAVE JUST BEEN GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN OUR CLUB, PLEASE JUMP DIRECTLY TO STEP THREE BELOW.

STEP ONE: (NOT APPLICABLE IF YOU WERE JUST OFFERED A CLUB MEMBERSHIP)


Click on the New Membership link on the menu (to the right) to find the current process to join our club. If this is not clear, then immediately send an email to Secretary@AgawamRevolverClub.com


STEP TWO: (NOT APPLICABLE IF YOU WERE JUST OFFERED A CLUB MEMBERSHIP)


ONLY AFTER BEING NOTIFIED THAT THERE IS A MEMBERSHIP OPENING, continue to step three. DO NOT FILL OUT AN APPLICATION WITHOUT SPECIFIC DIRECTION FROM THE CLUB SECRETARY.


STEP THREE:

 In order to apply for membership in our club you MUST EITHER:


1) provide a copy of a certificate (from an LTC Safety Course ISSUED BY OUR CLUB or
 from a citizens firearms course CONDUCTED AT OUR CLUB, by our instructors. 'Advanced Tactics & Firearms, LLC' citizens classes conducted at ARC also qualify. 

OR
2) provide a copy of one of the following (LTC Safety Course Certificate from another training facility, Hunter Safety Certificate, MA LTC or CT Pistol Permit) AND successfully complete a Proficiency Test conducted by our club. During the Proficiency Test you must demonstrate proficiency with a firearm to one of our LTC instructors. The cost is $50 (in addition to the cost of membership). If you are here in option 2, then the Proficiency Test is a mandatory step. There are no exceptions.
This was implemented in July of 2013, after being recommended by our insurance company, and has reduced complaints and increased safety on our ranges.

The club Secretary will notify you of the Proficiency Test schedule, after your completed application is processed (if applicable).

If you are not a Massachusetts resident and do not have a Massachusetts Non-Resident Temporary LTC, then please read our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) with regards to transportation and possession of firearms in Massachusetts and note that you have reviewed the FAQ on your application. If you fall into this category and do not note your understanding on the application, your application processing will be delayed until we successfully contact you.

Our application includes a checklist that will help with understanding membership requirements.

Leave the 'share #' blank on the release-waiver form, since you do not have one yet. All signatures must be complete, including the witness of your signature. Original signatures are required. Electronic signatures are not allowed.

As shown on our application form, applications for new membership submitted after October 1st include the next year's membership for free. If you wish to have your application held until October 1st, just note this on your application and submit it at any time.

Since those applying for club membership have been given two weeks to complete their requirements, this special deal does not apply, unless that two week period falls between October 1st and December 31st.
This special deal does NOT include returning previous members. See the FAQ for a more complete explanation of why this is true.

Expectations for the required processing time are stated in the FAQ. 

Please be sure to fill out the application completely and include all required documentation, so that you do not experience a processing delay as we attempt to contact you.

Your application will not begin processing until all required information and payment are received by us.
The PayPal screen asking for personal information is only PayPal validating your credit card. We do not have access to this information. You MUST fill out an application for membership, which may be downloaded using the link above.

New member fees are described on the application.


If you are a previous member of our club, then special rules apply. STOP HERE and read the section in our FAQ regarding 'Returning Members', and then contact the club Secretary with any questions. Pay for your membership renewal (and replacement key if needed) using http://PayPal.Me/agawamrevolverclub. Be sure to indicate on your application that you were a previous member and if you need a replacement key.

You may either submit an application electronically or by mail.

OPTION #1: Electronic submittal with PayPal payment:
Fill out the application, including your signature.
Email your scanned application, including the required documentation stated on the checklist, to the club Secretary at Secretary@AgawamRevolverClub.com.
The checklist is for your use and does NOT have to be submitted.
Be sure to sign the application, release-waiver and have the release-waiver witnessed. (Please read the release-waiver to understand who signs where. All signature fields MUST be complete, including an adult witness to your signature.)
Pay the correct amount using PayPal below.
We receive an email from PayPal immediately. Please do NOT send the PayPal payment information.

Total existing NRA Member cost: $154.00

If you have just joined NRA, please leave this field blank and on your membership application simply indicate your NRA purchase date and term. DO NOT WAIT for NRA, for it will be 3-5 weeks before you receive an NRA card.

OPTION #2: Submit an Application using USPS mail:
Print and fill out the application, including the required documentation stated on the checklist.
Be sure to sign the application, release-waiver and have the release-waiver witnessed. (Please read the release-waiver to understand who signs where. All signature fields MUST be complete.)
Enclose a check for the correct amount or pay using PayPal or a credit card above.
Send all mail to the address shown on your application. We do NOT have mail delivery at the street address of our club facility. 

STEP FIVE:

VERY IMPORTANT!

AFTER SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION, WATCH YOUR EMAIL!
We will communicate by email if anything additional is required. After your application is processed, you will receive an email with notice that your package has been mailed or the date of the next mandatory (free) orientation or the date of the next Proficiency Test (if applicable and which includes an orientation). 



Proficiency Test
This class is MANDATORY for ALL new prospective members that have NOT completed an ARC conducted LTC class or ATF live fire citizen's class.

The club Secretary will communicate this need to you directly after your application is processed.

The fee is $50 cash, paid at the time of the Proficiency Test.
The class is conducted in less than an hour, and is scheduled only as needed. If not successfully completed, this fee is applied to the cost of the same person attending our LTC safety class. The cost is non-refundable and is in addition to those costs specified on the membership application.

When there are sufficient attendees, a Proficiency Test is scheduled and you will be notified by email.

The cost is $50 cash.
Please bring a firearm with 25 rounds of ammunition.
Also, bring all necessary items to shoot on a range, including eye and ear protection.
